Born in Sutton, Marieanne arrives on the south coast with a stellar reputation in the women's game, having played at Arsenal Ladies, Fulham Ladies, and represented England Women 91 times, scoring 28 goals. An outstanding player of her generation, Marieanne spent eight seasons with Arsenal from , before moving to Fulham on a professional contract in In her final season with Arsenal she was the leading goalscorer and FA Players' Player of the Year, also winning a Sport Relief special achievement award.
Her domestic swansong was a treble-winning season with Fulham, before a move into coaching and management. Since retiring her playing career, the year-old has attained her UEFA Pro License, taken up a high profile role at the FA assisting with the Lionesses set-up, and also taken responsibility for England Women's Unders and the development of female coaches more broadly across England.
